Walmart, the world’s largest retailer of golf bags and accessories, has sold over 4 million golf bags over the past two decades.
Walmart is now the biggest golf bag vendor in the US, according to research firm IDC.
But some golf bag shoppers aren’t happy with the retailer’s selection.
On Thursday, Walmart announced that its golf bag buyer checklist is no longer being updated, and that customers should no longer be worried about being able to order a new bag from Walmart.
Walmart also added that it was working to make the company’s Golf Bags website more intuitive, but added that the change was not a result of the Golf Bats fiasco.
Walmart did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s request for comment.
The Golf Bits debacle prompted a slew of backlash on social media, and prompted Walmart to remove the Golf Bag checklist from its website.
Walmart’s website now says that it’s updating its golf bags with “new features and functionality,” but it hasn’t made any updates since then.
“We want to thank our customers for their feedback and have listened to their feedback, but we are committed to continually improving our customer experience and have made the decision to no longer update the Golf bags checklist,” a Walmart spokesperson told Business Insider.
In other Walmart news, the retailer also confirmed that its new online shopping site, Walmart.com, will be launching in October.
Walmart has been testing the site for months, and its goal is to “deliver the best shopping experience for shoppers.”
Walmart has also confirmed to Business Insiders that it is working on a new app, called Walmart.me, which will be a “smart home” app that allows Walmart to provide “personalised shopping experiences” to its customers.
